SALISBURY ENTRY BENCH

Inspired by traditional Shaker chair design, with a nod towards shared Asian and Shaker aesthetics.  The spindles and posts are hand turned and assembled with mortise and tenon joinery.  The bench features a double bent laminated crest and mid-rail, with contrasting wood species for the back splats.  The front and back of the bench feature a gently arching stretcher and a lattice work rack below for storage of shoes or other sundries.

MATERIALS
  • Constructed of walnut and spalted curly maple.
  • Finished with Danish oil and beeswax.
  • Seat is hand woven with black 5/8″ American manufactured canvas Shaker tape in a herringbone pattern.
  • As all furniture is hand constructed, there will be variances in shape, color, and wood grain pattern that will make each piece unique.
OPTIONS
  • Bench can be constructed of any locally available hard woods.
  • Seat is available in a range of contrasting or corresponding colors and weave patterns in both 1″ and 5/8″ Shaker tape.
