This table is inspired by a vernacular form – the sawbuck – but modernized with the addition of a live edge black cherry top with hand inlaid walnut stitches. These stitches provide both stability to the joined slab top as well as a contrasting accent to the piece. The bottom is made of walnut with black cherry keyed through tenons.
The table also features two sets of removable feet of different heights to let it serve equally well as a dining table, desk, or kitchen work surface. This table breaks down into four parts which makes it easy to move into the smallest of spaces.
