This piece was a custom design build for repeat clients to live in their historic 95-year old timber frame home in Benedict Canyon, California. It was designed to be a functioning A/V cabinet, but also as a focal piece in their living room.
The design of this cabinet is a very traditional frame and panel construction, with mortise and tenon arched panel doors, hand dovetailed drawers, hand turned knobs, and stained to match the tone of the house’s existing woodwork.
THE A/V COMPONENTS
I designed the interior with passive vents, pass throughs for the wires, and a thermostatically controlled exhaust fan to keep all of the audio and video components running at an optimal temperature.
